Cthulhu The Cosmic Abyss Review — Is It Worth It? Honest First Look After 90 Min

Scorp here from ScorpRG with an honest first look at Cthulhu The Cosmic Abyss from Big Bad Wolf and Nacon. This one dropped April 16th 2026 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X. I played through 90 minutes of the demo before jumping into this review so you get a real picture of what you're walking into before you spend a dollar. The short version is that the atmosphere and investigation mechanics are genuinely impressive, the story pulled me in, and the visuals and audio are doing exactly what a Lovecraftian horror game should do. The bugs in the full version are a real conversation though, and we get into all of that. Demo is free on Steam right now. There is no reason not to try it yourself. Road to Vostok — Learning the Survival Loop 🔴 LIVE

I'm jumping into Road to Vostok for the first time and figuring out how this hardcore survival extraction shooter actually works. This isn't a guide or a perfect playthrough, it's just me learning the core mechanics as I go. Starting in Area 05, setting up my cabin, dealing with random spawns that give me a shotgun with zero ammo, and trying to understand how to actually stay alive in a game where one mistake in Vostok erases your entire save. Road to Vostok is a brutal single player survival FPS where you manage hunger, hydration, fatigue, mental state, and health all at the same time. You are scavenging in war torn Finland, dealing with bandits and military patrols, managing a Tetris style inventory, and trying to figure out which traders actually matter. The survival loop is the entire game, complete tasks, build reputation, gather gear, prepare for the Border Zone crossing. In this stream I am learning what works and what kills you fast. How the shelter stash actually saves you when you die in Area 05. Why manual weapon loading is way different than other shooters. What the trader economy looks like when you are starting from nothing. And just trying to figure out if I am ready to push deeper or if I need to farm more gear first. If you are thinking about Road to Vostok or wondering what the survival loop actually feels like, this is what the early game looks like when you are genuinely learning it. No script, no wiki, just playing through it and seeing what happens.
