Death Stranding 2 Is Coming to PC on March 19 — Everything We Know
During the February 12, 2026 PlayStation State of Play, Kojima Productions officially announced that Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is coming to PC on March 19, 2026. The port is being handled by Nixxes Software, the studio behind many PlayStation-to-PC conversions.
PC Technical Features
Nixxes isn't just porting — they're building a proper PC version:
- NVIDIA DLSS 4, AMD FSR 4, Intel XeSS 2 upscaling support
- Pico — Progressive Image Compositor technology from the Decima engine
- 21:9 ultrawide for both cutscenes and gameplay
- 32:9 super-ultrawide during gameplay
- Unlocked framerate
- DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on PC
- Graphics presets from Low to Very High, plus a Portable preset for handheld devices
System Requirements
You'll need some hardware:
- Storage: 150 GB SSD required
- RAM: 16 GB minimum
- OS: Windows 10 or 11
Full detailed specs were published on February 24. The game uses the Decima engine, which has historically scaled well on PC (Horizon Zero Dawn, the original Death Stranding).

PS5 Gets Ultrawide Too
Coinciding with the PC launch, PS5 players will receive a free update adding 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio support. A nice bonus for console players.
About the Game
For those coming in fresh, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach launched on PS5 on June 26, 2025, and earned a 90 on Metacritic from 147+ reviews. It's set eleven months after the original, with Sam Porter Bridges recruited by Fragile's company Drawbridge to extend the chiral network to Mexico.
The game features two open worlds (Mexico and Australia), a new Route Simulator planning tool, real-time terrain changes from floods and earthquakes, new weapons like the Electric Rod and BT holographic grenades, and the same asynchronous online features from the first game.
The cast includes Norman Reedus, Lea Seydoux, Troy Baker, Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna, and director cameos from George Miller, Guillermo del Toro, and Nicolas Winding Refn.
Should You Wait for PC?
If you haven't played DS2 yet and you have a capable PC, waiting for March 19 is a strong move. Unlocked framerates, ultrawide support, and modern upscaling tech will make an already stunning game look even better. The Portable preset also suggests this will run well on devices like the Steam Deck and ROG Ally.
If you've already played on PS5 — the ultrawide update is free, and the core experience is identical. No PC-exclusive content has been announced.
Keep on keeping on.
